Step 1 – Downloading and Installing the IQ Feed software.

To access the intraday data from IQ feed using Market Analyst you need to download an additional piece of software.  Please click here to download this program now.

Once downloaded, run the installer file.

Run through the download process.  Once completed move on to Step 2.

Step 2 – Contacting the Market Analyst Sales Team

You will also need to ensure you have access to the External Data Access module which is included in all of our data packages (Australian EOD package starting from $49 per month).  To arrange a trial of this module, or to set up a subscription please call the sales team on 1300 655 262.

Once this has been done open Market Analyst 6, click on the Settings menu and select Advanced Data Settings tab.  In the list displayed tick the IQ Feed option and then OK.

Close Market Analyst down.

Step 3 – Logging into the Data Feed

Once the IQ Feed downloader has been installed, and you’ve subscribed to access the  external data you can login to the data feed.  To do this Open Market Analyst and Login to the program.

Note - At this stage you maybe prompted to login to IQFeed.  If so, enter the login details provided to you by IQFeed and click the connect button.

Left click on the Settings menu and select Configure Data Providers from the list displayed.

Left click on IQFeed and click Next.

In the window displayed left click the Test Account button.

The IQ Connect Login window will be displayed.

Enter in the login details provided to you by IQ Feed and click the Connect button to continue.

Click the Next button to continue.

In the window displayed locate an exchange you wish to use IQFeed for and left click it.  Once selected click the > button to add it to the list of exchanges serviced by IQFeed.

Once all the required exchanges have been added to the right hand side click the Next button.

The index files will be added to the system.  Once completed click the Finish button and restart Market Analyst.

Please note that your IQ Feed account may give you access to more exchanges (and codes) than what is currently displaying in MA6.

However, it is possible to manually add custom exchanges and codes into the program.  The following video will show you how to do this.

Note – You will only be able to download data for exchanges you have subscribed to via IQ Feed.  While you will be able to see the exchange folders / files without a subscription, the charts will not display any data if an active subscription is not enabled on your account.  Full information on what is available via IQ Feed, including the pricing structure is available here.
