For many years a good way to pick stocks was to compare its performance relative to others in the same sector.  To be thorough you would also need to compare different sectors to see which way the sectors were moving.

The clock chart is a concept that allows data to be charted in a yearly (or any custom time frame) fashion with December 31 of one year joined to January 1 of the next year.  This means that the data for all dates of the year can be viewed on at the same point, eg all the prices for March 24th will be viewed at the same point.

When adjustments are made to the 3D Chart Properties, you can save the changes as the default setting.  All new 3D Charts opened after that point will use the new settings.

Both the Y and Z axes of the 3D Chart can be adjusted to use various data to generate the chart.
