Below are details of the latest ammendments to the Market Analyst 5 program. The most recent ammendments will be at the top of the list. To view older ammendments use the page selector at the bottom of this page.

Version 5.1 Build 30

14th April 2008

  1. IMPORTANT NOTE - IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU FOLLOW THE UPDATE PROCESS LISTED IN THIS ARTICLE TO PREVENT THE POSSIBILITY OF A PARTIAL UPDATE.
  2. Move error with Sequential Exhaustion tool has been resolved.
  3. Minor Issue with tools that include the Flip and Reverse actions has been resolved.
  4. Double clicking on a code in the Top Movers window will now open a chart.
  5. Symbols are now displayed on a chart printout.
  6. Confirmation window is now displayed before a backup settings are restored via the General Settings window.
  7. Bug report was generated when attempting to create a workbook from a CSV list of codes has now been resolved.
  8. Problem with the Price Scale on some CSI charts has now been resolved.
  9. Random stalling of some live data charts has been resolved.
  10. Adjustments to the Horizontal Lines default settings now no longer cause the tools size to lock. It's length can now be adjusted once applied.
  11. The last folder selected in the Securities Selection window is now saved and automatically selected the next time the window is opened.
  12. The ability to adjust the line thickness of a Line chart has now been restored.
  13. Adjustments to the Olivers Wedge Fill colour are now saved correctly in a workbook.
  14. New Function added - If a tool has been selected, you can deselect it by right clicking once.
  15. Decimal Settings of a chart sourced by a 3rd party data format can now be adjusted. For information on how click here.
  16. Confirmation Box is now displayed on the bottom right corner of the screen when a default setting is adjusted.
  17. The title bar of a chart displays the correct order of codes when the overlay function is used.
  18. An Info Bar can now be displayed at the bottom of a chart. For more information click here.
  19. Issue with the ATR Multiplier has been resolved.
  20. Time Division of 3rds and 8ths - Labels are now displayed as dates instead of fractions.
  21. Tools that are hidden in the Structures panel will no longer display on the chart when printed.
  22. Cycle Zone Tools - New Property added that allows you to manually adjust the start date.
  23. Structure Panel - When minimising a Layer. left clicking on the chart automatically expanded it again. This has been resolved.
  24. Adjustments to the colour settings of the Guppy and Hull Multiple Moving Averages is now being saved in workbooks.
  25. Swing Overlay tools can now have their line thickness adjusted.
  26. Issue with training mode adding more than one bar at a time has now been resolved.
  27. Settings - Ephemeris - Aspects - The SemiSextile label is now correctly displayed as 30.
  28. Geo Line tool added.
  29. Gann Fan - The tools starting price and date can now be manually set in the Control panel.
  30. Astro Tool - Time by Planetary Degrees - You can now adjust the angle of text labels to 90 degrees to prevent the labels from overlapping.
  31. Astro Tool - Gann Planetary Lines - Issue with the Harmonic lines has now been resolved.
  32. Wall Charts was not working with some formats of Metastock data. This has now been resolved.
  33. Gann Swing charts will now display labels when the print chart function is used.
  34. Issue with the Barros Swing Overlay and the price scale (when moved to it's own layer) have been resolved.
  35. Live Data - Market Depth - when a market depth window is saved in a workbook, adjustments to the quotes and depth display are now saved.
  36. Workbook files (.mwb5) are now associated with the Market Analyst program. Double clicking on one will open the workbook into Market Analyst automatically, even if the program is closed.

  38. Windowed tools can not be inverted via the Structures Panel.
  39. Adjustments to the Gann Squares tool once placed on the chart has now been simplified.
  40. Separate transparency sliders have been added for orbs and symbols for all Astro tools.
  41. Ability to turn Orbs and / or Symbols off on all Astro tools has now been added.
  42. Additional points have been added to each tool making it easier to view which item is selected on the chart.
  43. Static and Dynamic Square of Nine tools now supports Price Units of up to 5 decimal places.
  44. Adjustments to the transparency of a tool that contains a border (like Rectangle or Trend Band) will now effect the entire tool and not just the fill.
  45. A problem was reported where all custom tools and program menus would disappear when a chart was opened. This issue was related to the number of custom tools requiring more space than was available in the Tool Bar. This issue has now been resolved.
  46. The Elliot Symbols tool has been completely recreated to enable continuious use, without the need to re-select the tool each time. - NOTE: Elliot Symbols from older builds of Market Analyst 5 are not compatible with the new version. While Elliot symbols will display on the chart, they will not match the new symbols, as a result any workbooks containing this tool will need to have the Elliot symbols re-applied once the update has been installed. 14:15

  1. Adjustments to the layer name are now saved in a workbook.
  2. Resolution for a known display issue on some CSI data files.
  3. The default link on the RSS page has now been updated.
  4. Issue with the division spread calculations causing spikes in the data has been resolved.

Version 5.1 Build 10

25th February 2008

  1. Display issue on the volume tool has been resolved. (Problem on Weekly / Monthly charts only).
  2. Training mode now works over tiled pages from the 1 nav console. (Option now exists in general settings that switches this back to single pages only).
  3. Support for IQ Feed live data is now available. For more information please click here.
  4. Resolution for a known display issue on some CSI data files.
  5. The Portfolio Manager now updates with EOD data prices.
  6. Drawing - Text Box - Adjustments to the text font size can now be saved as default.
  7. Astro Tools - Any tool that contains both an Orb and a Symbol now includes the ability to change the planetary symbol colour.
  8. Planetary Aspects - There was an issue where the first orb of the tool would not display. This has now been resolved.
  9. Horizontal / Vertical Lines - The default setting has now been changed so that the lines are extended automatically, and, can be applied with a single click.
  10. A small display issue with the Dynamic Square of nine text labels has now been resolved.
  11. Any tool containing the font property can now handle adjustments to Bold and Italic styles.
  12. Bug reporting system has been enhanced and restored.
  13. The process to import 3rd party data now allows you to mark it as EOD or Intraday.
